It feels great to hear about a significant achievement in Indian Mountaineering, and am glad that Giripremi dit it. Giripremi started this quest for Manda, way back in 1989 and no one else from India dared to go that way. Keep it up and keep going.

Congratulations to team Giripremi for the grand success on Mt Manda. This climb had added a new dimension of Mountaineering on our country. Attempting Such less climbed and difficult peak is the real joy of mountain climbing. I am sure it would have boosted the confidence level of the climbers many folds. I sincerely hope that the Mountaineering community of our country follows your foot steps to climb technically challenging peaks rather than running behind well known commercial ones. I so wish I could join you in this epic climb. Wish you all the best for future adventures.

Thank you Umesh.. !! for being with me on the trek to Everest Base Camp. it was one of the best Adventure experiences in my life. Everyone must venture to such a place at least once in life. Big thanks to Giripremi and GGIM for organising this wonderful trek.

Giripremi is doing excellent work of promoting Adventure culture in the society, which is the need of the time today. Most importantly, I appreciate the culture of safety, scientific approach and highly experienced team of Giripremi. Under the visionary leadership of Umesh Zirpe, Giripremi is excelling day by day.

I was in Pune for Giripremi function and I was simply overwhelmed by the enthusiasm and interest level of Adventure lovers from Pune. Giripremi is one of the biggest team visiting Nepal Himalayas. Their achievements in big mountains like Everest.

15th May 2019, I was fortunate to be able to climb Mt. Kagchenjunga. I had attempted this mountain earlier and was aware of the difficulty level of the peak. Because of well-coordinated efforts of Giripremi team, this year, maximum number of climbers could climb this treacherous mountain.

Umesh and team are real Adventure lovers and mountain lovers. I believe they are the leading mountaineering organisation in India. I have been following their journey since 2014 when they climbed Mt. Makalu. I was invited for a State level Mountaineering summit at Mumbai and was happy to see the huge community of Adventure.

‘गिरिप्रेमी’ या नावातच सह्याद्रीच्या या मावळ्यांचं पर्वतावरचं प्रेम आणि आस्था दिसून येते. माझा आणि यांचा परिचय एका त्यांच्याच एका मोहिमेच्या चित्रफितीदारम्यान झाला. एव्हरेस्ट शिखराच्या पायथ्याशी छत्रपती शिवाजी महाराजांचा पुतळा प्रस्थापित करून या वीरांनी मराठी ध्वजा एका नव्या उंचीवर पोचविली. यांच्या गिर्यारोहणतील कर्तुत्वाला माझा मुजरा.

I always appreciate Giripremi’s approach towards mountaineering. As on today, I believe they have the bunch of best mountaineers and rock climbers in their team. They have already achieved incredible feats in mountaineering and I wish they do some highly technical and Alpine style climbing in Indian Himalayas.

Mountaineering is a sport where your physical and mental fitness is tested at its best and adventure education is important for the new generation of India. My best wishes for Giripremi’s work and all their expeditions in the future.

As a veteran from the Indian Armed Forces, I always feel that the culture of undertaking adventure should be inculcated during the school days itself, rather it should be part of the curriculum. Giripremi and GGIM in particular, have addressed this excellently by designing the Adventure Education syllabus for children. I congratulate them for their pioneering effort.
