Giripremi, the premier mountaineering club in the country has planned an ambitious expedition to Mt. Meru, a 6660 meters tall mountain located in Garhwal Himalaya. The flag-off ceremony of the expedition concluded in Pune on April 15. Dr. Pramod Chaudhari, Founder- Chairman of Praj Industries handed over the Indian tricolor to Umesh Zirpe, the expedition leader and his team. Supriya Badwe, Executive Director, Belrise Industries Pvt. Ltd and Founder, SportsIndi, and Parth Chaudhari, Managing Director P-Cube graced the occasion.

Giripremi’s ‘P Cube Mt. Meru Expedition’ is scheduled for May- June 2023. The team of experienced climbers will attempt the summit from the West ridge, a route that has never been attempted by an Indian team before. Giripremi team will become the first Indian team to climb Mt. Meru if they make it to the summit.
