Team comprised on highly experienced mountaineers Rupesh Khopade, Dr. Sumit Mandale, Kiran Salastekar and young but highly energetic Dinesh Kotkar and Yugank Kadam.

The team opened the route with the help of Sherpas and set up three intermediate camps before staring an audacious summit attempt. On 10th July 2017, entire team reached the top of Mt. Kun (7077 m).

The success of Mt. Kun directly reflected in the mammoth glorious ascent of Mt. Kangchenjunga, where Rupesh Khopade, Dr. Sumit Mandale and Kiran Salastekar made it to the top of Kangchenjunga, thrid highest peak in the world.

  • The massif is located near the Suru valley, Kargil district about 250 km (160 mi) east of Srinagar, the capital of neighboring Jammu and Kashmir.
